Conflicts

There are multiple conflicts going on in my book, Like at the beginning arthur v society when the city wanted to demolish his house for a highway. There is also another conflict later on in the book. When they bord the Vorgon ship arthur faced a man v man conflict with the vorgons. I also think he faces a man v self because earth was destroyed, and he is always panicking even tho ford tells him not to. I know if earth was destroyed and i was the only one left i would be haveing an internal emotional conflict.

Star Wars : The Empire Strikes Back

A lot of the stuff we went over about this movie holds true. Like the fact that luke really has no true charcter type. It would be pretty hard for some one to not find something about him that they can relate to. Also hon telling the Princess that he is leaveing and nothing will change his mind until he finds out luke never returned. I kind of think hon trys to act as lukes big brother. Because he is always telling him to be carful or calling him kid. I have also been wondering why Darth Vader wears black and their troops wear white.

Faith: The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy

In "The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy" so far from what I have read there are very small bits and pieces of faith in it. There was one part where the people in the bar asked before the earth was destroyed if hideing under tables and putting boxes over their heads would help. In a sense thats faith because we all know if the planet was goning to blow up noting would really protect you. The people at the bar were doing that to calm themselves and hope for some divine intervention to take place, but it seems that did not happen. Also the actual Hitchhikers Guide seems to play a role but it seems like you have to have faith in the book and hope that it is not wrong which in the vaccume of space doing something wrong could end up getting you killed or thrown off a space ship and sufficateing from the lack of oxygen.

Stars... I think that was the name....

I think this short story was very interesting altho it was prety hard to comprehend what was going on and what exactly his reason/meaning behind what he was saying. But it was good regardless of the dificult nature of the story.

One of the few things that I had to think about was at the very end of the story, and i deciphered it as the star that died and wiped out the civilization that used to live there was the start that lead the 3 wise men to bethlaham to bring baby Jesus their gifts.

Pages 1-40

I am currently reading "The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy" By Douglas Adams. So far in the book the main character Arthur Dent's house is on the brink of being destroyed until he quickly jumped in front of the bulldozer preventing the crew from recking his house. But as they say all good plans have their flaws, and Arthur's friend Ford Prefect showed up and lured him away from his house with the promise of beer and that they would not destroy his house while he was gone. After downing his third pint he heard a loud crash and realized it was his house that was being demolished and quickly raced out of the bar to find his house reduced to rubble and Mr. Prossen staring blankly into the sky at which Arthur eventually came to realized was giant galactic "bulldozers" which has come to wreck his home (earth).
